i'm putting together a site for pictures, instead of having the endless accounts of webshots that have built up over time

just wondering your opinion if i'm better off using the ftp provided by comcast or should i get a FileLodge or some other type of host

but i have many pictures, so i'd just be making alot of FileLodge accounts then, right?

i'm in no rush to get this thing done, and i did concider paying for an account such as pbase, just thought i'd ask some opinions

Do you know how much Web space/bandwith Comcast provides you with? FTP is probably better than signing up multiple accounts with basic image hosts. At least with FTP, you can control your pictures in one go.

I suggest you use ImageShack. That is what I use. You can upload as many files as you want. I have like 11 pages of graphics.

The thing with ImageShack is that it's not set up like Webshots. There are two different kinds of photo/image services... one caters to album-categorizing, the second is simply "yeah, I'm going to link here and there."

Going through ImageShack links to set up albums/pictures in a set is not a fun thing to do. Their URLs are always different.
