Personally, I think it would be good to allow images in signatures, no bigger than 500 x 100 and/or 75kb. I don't think it would get abused because I know of another site (http://forums.gamemaker.nl/) where images in signatures are allowed. I mean, I like the little userbars, but at the moment you can only link to photobucket with them in. :(

I think 500 by 100 is too big. The signature shouldn't distract from the content of the post.

I haven't ever really wanted to have a picture in my signature. Sometimes I think they're okay, and other times I think they're annoying.
I think that we can be creative enough with text and smilies in our signatures, and make graphics for our avatars. I know of a forum where you can't even have colored text!

I wouldn't like images in signatures. Loading time would skyrocket, and there are so many forum members who still use dial-up. Since you can have an avatar, I think it would be weird to have another image :hehe:

This suggestion has been discussed before, I believe. Like I said in the last thread that suggested this -- just be grateful that you get any kind of signature at all (and avatar privileges to boot).

A lot of forums have signature rules enabled, and it is still constantly abused. Just look at LEIA -- we allow text signatures at the least, and people still abuse this with advertising.

I still have dial-up :D I like user bars, but the Gamemaker forums are fast and such. I like it the way it is :)
