Launchnet 05-20-2006, 04:23 AM 1st - I think you should make your site fit into a 15" monitor. 2nd - You should test it in both 800 X 600 and 1024 X 768. 3rd - Be sure that you do not have a horizontal scroll bar. 4th - Don't have text lines over 6" to 8" long, as longer lines becomes hard to read. 5th - It is nice to have home page not longer than screen. This means that on home page you should not have scroll bars. I understand that all home pages can not accomplish this, but if you choose the correct navigating methods and the right amount of text that will draw your your viewers into other pages of your site, it can be done 6th - Second and additional pages can be longer and have vertical scroll bars, but don't make them too long. It is better to organize so that each topic can have it's own page. Just some ideas I incorporated into my site. www.openoursite.com Good luck |
