Whoa! I was randomly clicking on some links here in LEIA Forums, and I stumbled upon vbPlaza Menu. The whole time I was a member here, I never once checked on it. So now I'm curious. What are all the points for? I have about 17k, but I don't know I came to acquire all that. Heck, I don't even know there is a points system here!
I tried looking for it in the FAQ, but the search returned no results. Oh, and also, it seems there's a list of richest users and all, of which I've never heard about (I must be pretty ignorant! :violin: ). Aaaannnd I found out that there is a bank-- called vBux Bank or something!! Goodness.
I can only justify my lack of knowledge of all these things due to the fact that I only go to the Website Help section everytime I come here. This is the first time I'm posting in a board other than that one. :p
Can anybody please enlighten me what that vbPlaza thing is all about? I'm dead curious.

Well first of all I think that since the vBux seystem is [kinda] new you wouldn't find it in the FAQ.
The vBux are just for buying gifts for people, buying lottery tickets, saving up, changing your usename, changing the color of your username. [more here (http://www.lissaexplains.com/forum/vbplaza.php?)]
You can earn the vBux by entering the lottery, viewing threads, creating threads, posting, playing in the arcade[i think?], and viewing other member's profiles.

So, lemme get this straight. I've been doing things that accumulate points and yet I didn't even realize it? Interesting.

Oh wow! You can even steal from people. How deliciously evil is that! I hope the Bank prevents your points from being stolen. As well as earn interest.
This reminds me a bit like Neopets (am a fan), only in a totally different context. vBux is like Neopoints which is money, right?

I hope you figure out the vBux points! They've only been here for a month or so, so you haven't missed that much.
This is how you would have been earning points without realizing it:
Points Per Thread View: 5.00
Points Per Thread: 30.00
Points Per Reply: 15.00

You can't buy an avatar with points, you just have to wait until you have 200 posts (compared to the 500 posts needed before, that isn't that bad)
I think changing your username color is 500 points.

I also hope that your money can't be stolen when it's in the bank. I keep all my money there to earn interest, and it hasn't been stolen. Otherwise, I believe you can buy thief immunity, though I don't know if there really has been any major theiving problems.

Whew, I just found this especially long thread that discusses practically everything about vbPlaza Menu! It's 25 pages long, though. I wonder if I can get through it by tonight.
And, as Marta said, I also found out that this vbPlaza was added just recently. Thanks Marta for telling me the amount of points for doing different stuff. I'm definitely doing more of the posting, since somehow I cannot play at the Arcade. I don't have the permission, it says. Hmmm... I wonder why.

You need 100 post to play in the arcade. You only need about 20 more till you get there. :D

Good luck with accumulating points! The only other point related thing I know of is changing your custom title (under your name) at 500 (I think.) I'm still working on that one...
