Hey,

I'm trying to make a video using windows movie maker, but the problem is the clip I want to use is already on a DVD.

Is there some way that I can capture this clip using one of the programs that I already have on my computer? Strictly speaking this is a work computer so I don't want to go downloading all sorts of things onto it as this has caused trouble for me in the past.

I have Windows movie maker, Nero and Win DVD. Can I use one of these to capture the existing DVD footage?

I have tried copying the DVD with Nero to change the format, but it's such a big DVD that it would take hours, and I wasn't sure if this would work, so I didn't want to waste the time.

Can anyone help me with this?

Thanks in advance,

Cait

I've only used Windows Movie Maker, which is a good program under certain circumstances. They have a help site for using that program. I only used multimedia from the web for my movie, but it should cover DVD as well. I don't know the exact website, but if you go to google and type in "Windows Movie Maker DVD Help" then it should give you a site. I think it's partially a forum as well, but people on there responded really quickly to me.

Good luck.

Hey,

I think I've found the forum that you meant, so I've signed up and posted my problem.

I'll post on here if they give me a solution, just in case anyone else is wanting help in the future.

Thanks again,
