why is it so difficult to highlight text?

i'm using tables and divs.

can you explain further on what type of highlighting you are talking about? and where?

the text in the table.

not like trying to hightlight from the beginning sentence. try hightlighting from where it says

<i>Yesterday was kind of fun. Went down to the shore for first time in probably a year. It feels really good to just sit at the sand's edge as the water ripples in towards me. </i>

and you'll see what i mean.

and i mean highlighting as in going down, not up.

I think he means selecting the text when you're viewing the page in IE or moz.

One time a few days ago, I was playing around with absolutely positioned divs and found that text was difficult to select. You have to select it in just the right order and even then it's not easy to do. I'd recommend staying away from absolute positioning as much as possible, as it can get you into trouble with regards to selecting text.
