I used Homestead, then I switched over to Geocities, then I switched to Tripod, then begin switching back between Tripod and GeoCities, then finally decided to use GeoCities

I WISH I had a picture of my first Web site! I had a cheesy gray background, a dancing Hello Kitty, and some dorky generic bio about me (I wasn't allowed to get TOO specific, I think my mom was wary about me even saying I lived in Florida :hehe: ) I was ecstatic when I learned how to link to other pages :P I had my dance page, my friends page, links page, etc. Oh goodness, I was such a dork! :blush:

I was really excited when I figured out how to make picture links, they where everywhere on my site. :D

My first one was on Angelfire, but I don't remember the link anymore. I wanted it to be all about fashion and trends...but after the first day I gave up. It was the basic Angelfire premade set-up and oy was it awful. :lol:

After that I went and made my DBZ fansite...which turned out pretty well, minus the fact that most of the layout was a 50meg's premade layout lol. It's still up and running last I checked, but I never update it anymore. Too busy, and not really into DBZ anymore.

I've only ever made one site, and it was modified by my german teacher before it went up. Other than the content, everything on the site was made by me, that is, I made the layout *looks sheepish* It's pretty bad anyway.

haha...my friend and I were obsessed with that. We spent hours upon hours working on sites :stickout: It's changed quite a bit since we worked on sites there (around 8 years ago is when we started!)

I think my first page was on gurlpages or chickpages... I don't remember which one. Thank goodness too. If I remember right, it was all neon-colored and scary. And it was called "Rainbow Kittens" :blush: That was about 9 years ago! I told my guy friend about it (back when I had it) and he laughed because of the name of the site. Understandable. ;)

I'll tell you about my first sites. They started off as frontpage creations, garish dark-purple backgrounds with a bright blue. As I progressed, and destroyed frontpage off the face of my hard disk - I started learning CSS design and really got involved. I'm now a proud website owner! Yay! :)

I hope when I'm older to do cheap or even free designs, and maybe set up a few experiments with PHP ;)

My first website was back in 2003 (I remember because it was way before I joing LEIA.) It was like a black and white checkerboard style on Tripod. I stood there for a while, and then started changing around to FreeWebs, Free HostDepartment, and maybe 10 or 15 others until I stayed on angelfire for a little bit and then changed back to Tripod.


I stopped updating it because it wasn't getting as much traffic as before (I am at like 250 or somewhere around there, though, from past high traffic.)

Dot.tk is a redirection service, not a webhost, lol.

They have really crappy service because they load your website up with adds. =(
