I have had a site on Tripod.com for several years. Now I'm progressing and want to know how to change the background used on my pages from the "standard" ones offered on Tripod to something different. I can see the "background" statement in the HTML on my home page but I have a question about changing it. If I want to change it to a background stored on my hard-drive do I change the "background" statement to C:myfiles/graphics/backgrounds/myspecialbackground.jpg? Do I need the C: in the path? If I change the "background" statement and publish my page from Tripod will it take effect? My page is at http://jimandsharynp.tripod.com if you want to see the source code.

you have to upload the background to your webspace, and point to that location. it will not work over the web if it is pointing to your C:/ drive.
