View Full Version : Moving...
Magln Meow 03-02-2006, 10:01 PM Have you guys ever moved before? :scared: I'll be moving in May, I've been living here for 9 years! I will still be in the same city but... I don't know. I'm worried about this, because I've only moved once in my entire and that was when I was much younger.
I'm only moving because they'll be turning these apartments into condos and we already signed the lease to move by May 1st. I'm worried about my friends too, they'll be leaving as well, and I probably won't get to see them very often. But I guess it's a good oportunity to make new ones.
So, have any of you experienced moving? Anything I should know? lol
Backlight 03-02-2006, 10:28 PM Don't be worried :) it will all work out.. At the end of my 8th grade year I had to move to phoenix from utah so basicly i knew no one and i was a freshman in high school.. I was scared out of my mind, But it worked out for the best :)
rainbow_monkey 03-02-2006, 11:38 PM I've moved before, lots of times. You could always E-mail your friends and send them letters and call them. :D
I kind of like moving, because I like looking at new houses. [heheh]
I like it here though, so I don't think I would want to move anymore.
My best friends house is the same house plan as ours. [Like OMG, we have matching houses! << Kidding!!!]
When we moved the last time, we moved about 3,000 miles.
Anything you should know? Packing is no fun! Niether is unpacking!]
SUPER RP06 03-02-2006, 11:55 PM My family moved to my town's North side since 1995.
rainbow_monkey 03-03-2006, 12:00 AM [OFF TOPIC]Hey rw! I had that Idea for my signature to click the smiley, I just got rid of it because my sister said nobody would know to click on it.
It's okay, but did you get that idea from me or did you think that up? :confusion[/OFF TOPIC]
Magln Meow 03-03-2006, 12:09 AM [OFF TOPIC] I just got rid of it because my sister said nobody would know to click on it.[/OFF TOPIC]
lol, I clicked it. I wasn't at first sure if it was clickable but I figured it out quickly.
rainbow_monkey 03-03-2006, 12:15 AM [heheh] I'll just stick with this. :D
[rw got rid of it. I didn't mean for him to get rid of it!]

I moved once, when I was six, from Los Angeles to the city I am living in now.
I kind of like moving, because I like looking at new houses. [heheh]
So do I! =P
Douglas 03-03-2006, 01:01 AM I hate moving, I don't think I could ever move from where I am now, at least until I'm out of school anyway.
Arwen 03-03-2006, 01:13 PM I've moved 6 times in my life! And I plan to move to the US in the future. :D
allie 03-03-2006, 02:30 PM Moving in the same city isn't so bad. Moving from state to state is harder. I lived in six states before the age of 18. It's nice being able to see the country, but it's really hard on kids to move so far.
It's really hard now for people living in apartments, because they're all converting to condos. I know here in Florida, there's almost nothing available as far as apartments go.
Marta 03-03-2006, 11:06 PM I haven't really ever moved, but I have lived in Norway and Minnesota...but since we have two houses, it's not exactly moving...
Angelica 03-04-2006, 02:22 AM I live in a military town, so while I have personally never moved, most of the people I know have. It's really not so bad, and it is easy to keep in touch with people.
You seem like a very likeable and friendly person, though, so I don't think you'll have any trouble making new friends in your new home. Good luck.

Heh, yea, with a weird twist of randomness and often anti-social. :P Thanks though. Just takes time and patience. :)
Makar 03-04-2006, 07:30 AM I've lived in this house for 18 years now, never moved once. Even though we were supposed to multiple times over the last 12 years.
So I don't believe my parents when they say they'll be selling the house this summer. I'll probably move out anyway and perhaps find someone to room with. After 18 years of this dump I welcome any change with open arms. Your moving situation sounds good though, since you're going to be in the same city that you've already lived in for nine years. I don't think you have anything to worry about. :>
rainbow_monkey 03-04-2006, 07:54 PM I think it's wierd that even though magln's moving, she will she be able to come on LEIA and stuff, nothing is changing there.
But like people she knows personaly won't see her as much. :crying:
Kittie 03-06-2006, 10:01 PM the thing about moving (ive moved twice, to two complete diff places)
it gets better!! but if you just movin 'cross the city..i dont think it would be as bad as across a couple states ;)
:chicken:
rainbow_monkey 03-06-2006, 10:04 PM Okay, cool.
Yaaay, we're all happy! :elf:
Magln Meow 03-07-2006, 05:24 AM Well, thanks for the tips of advice, I'm sure it won't be that bad. I'm open minded to changes this apartment is out of shape. Bleh, I can't bare stand looking at the bathroom. I would clean it, but... my family is too natural, we don't like those cleaning chemicals. Using anything else is hopeless. :P lol
rainbow_monkey 03-07-2006, 06:36 AM I know. Chemicals give me and my mom really bad headaches sometimes. :crying:
So we clean with this natural stuff. :D
Lissa 03-07-2006, 07:27 PM The clean-up after moving out of a rented home/apartment is the WORST! Too much to do!!
Good luck on the move, magln, you may love the change!! :)
