Yes its true. Join if you want. Its a great way to chat with friends and gives you somthing to do. Just if your going to join. MAKE SURE you dont talk to strangers (because yes there are old pervs on there) . and dont give any personal info out. And youll be fine. :)

I've heard the same. It sounds logical. People have a habit of putting all of their personal info on there including pictures and the places they hang out and when, so a stalker can find someone very easily. It is safe though, like BoomerGirli said, if you don't give out too much about yourself.

And cowgirl, I'm not sure how old you are, but if you are 15 or younger, you can make your profile private, so that only your friends can see it :) There are some weird people that roam around and just add random people, so make sure that the person you are adding is really someone you know ;) MySpace is only unsafe if you abuse it, just as the entire internet is theoretically unsafe, especially if you post personal information for everyone to see! Some people don't realize how public the internet really is.
