must you have someone's permission to link to their site? i was just wondering...i dont really know the net rules:(.

Linking to someone's site is fine without their permission. For example:

<a href="http://www.randomdomain.com/">Visit Random's Site</a>

is fine, but you can't link to people's images or copy their text without permission. For example:

<img src="http://www.randomdomain.com/images/logo.gif">

is NOT allowed unless the site belongs to you or you have express permission of the site owner.
