i have a website, and it used to have this image that said 'randomness' (which is the name of the site) at the top of the homepage.
recently i completely reformatted the site and now the randomness image is different. i have uploaded the new image to the server and made big changes to the page (even added a nav bar) but the image is still the original randomness one, and i dont know how to make it the new one.
ive tried deleting the image from the server, but then, there was still images on both the pages. then i moved the file to a different folder on my computer, and the image was still the old one on the nav bar, and there is an image placeholder in the main page.
when i first looked at the page from the net (as opposed to opening it straight from my computer, where, incidentally, all the images work fine) the one on the main page was the new image and the picture on the nav bar was that old one. now both of them are old, and it looks strange to say the least.
can anyone think what may be wrong?
sorry, its really confusing :S

oh yeah the site is

(in case you want to look)
oh, and it may be that it only appears to be the old one on my computer.

and what does the new one look like? and/or the old one for that matter?

in the top frame i see an image that says "randomness" and it kinda shakes about like the other images in that same frame.

in the bottom frame there is a really long big image that says "randomness".

both dark blue with white lettering.

what may be the problem is cache. that is the temporary storage of files on your browser. try this...
view your page, press CTRL and click on REFRESH.

if that does not work, then delete the old image from your online area and upload the new one. if your computer still shows the old one, then it is probably only on your computer. try asking others to view the page and describe the old/new images so they can report back on what the rest of the world sees.

Are you linking to the correct image. Does the new image have the same name as the old one?

I think that pb&j is right by saying that the problem is that the old image is stored in your computer cache.

Have you tried viewing the site on another computer?

HTH,
