So, I know this is a kids board of course, but some others here too. Does anyone here own any stocks? It's something I've been looking at for years, and trying to determine whta would be good to look into, but now that I'm 18, have a job and some free money I can basically throw around, I'm really looking into it. I've been reading around and I'm not sure what exactly I want, big time companies or looking into some penny-stocks, or both for that matter. I know some people are saying don't go with Apple or Intel. Apple is drifting away, they had their time of fame with handheld music players, now they need something completely new if you want to see something again like what happened the last 5 years with them... $5.50 a share to $70, mid-January it was $86. Then theres Intel, with relations to Apple now, that they are failing because their chips aren't doing great with Apple and sales are down. Then of coruse there is AMD, who, since I have built my PC with an AMD chip, they have gone from $20/share to as much as $43, now $39... Figures... On the other side of that, Generel Electric is steady but said to go up, Yahoo and Google are both iffy right now, who knows where they will go, but Google is expensive, no way I would even get a partial stock with them. Yahoo is even pushing it for me at $33 a share. I'm more looking for some good companies to look into between penny stocks at $1 and some big companies at $20 a share or something. Just wondering...

If you watch CNBC or any other financial news channel monday to friday, you can see the financial stocks and indexes, currencies, and earnings reports.

I like to watch CNBC to see what's happenning with the financial markets.

I suggest to log on to http://finance.yahoo.com, or www.cnbc.com or www.cnbceurope.com or www.cnbcasia.com. Search under Yahoo! or Google to find financial websites

You could also visit http://money.cnn.com

The Asian markets will gonna open in a couple to several hours, so it's a great oppunitury to get involved, thezeppzone!
