hey isnt there away to change your cursor into a little image like for example..maybe one of those emoticons..so isnt there a way to do that?cuz i did see it before and i think i did it before also but i forget how..can anyone tell me?

Lissa has a special part of her site dedicated to cursors called Lissa's Cursors and it includes the script and some images for you to use as your cursor! If you use them make sure you use the Lissa's Cursor button to link back, hope this helps...

you should put this in your css section:

body {
cursor : url("first.cur"),
}

where "first.cur" is the location of your cursor

Its also possible to design your own cursor and use that instead of using the default ones. E.g. if your site was a fanlisting for wales you could have a welsh flag decorated cursor. If your interested I'll find the script.

hmm i dont get it..for the html code that u put in for the cursor..
what type of file does it have to be that i have to put in at the file.cur? does it have to be a cursor that u made or could it be like a little jpg or gif..?

It has to be a special cursor file. Search Download.com (http://www.download.com) for software that allows you to create one using a normal picture file or alternatively search your computers hard drive its likely to have lots of colourful cursors for you to use!

Lissa has a great section in CSS. You can change your cursor to things like crosshairs to little "question cursors".

i was trying to change my cursor to an image of a star (not just on hover but all over my page) and i tried to save the star as .cur or .ani, but neither of those was an option, do u have to be in a certain program to save it like that? thanx 4 any info u have

yes if you download paint shop pro 7 or 8..oh wait ya well if you get that u will have animation shop so u use animation shop i think and u could save it as a cursor file.. I cant remember if u could just use paint shop pro to save it as a cur. file but ya just get that or a program that could save it as a cur. file

i know that theres a program by conware (or some company like that) its called iconart, and it lets you save as .ico or .cur, which would work if you are looking for a non-animated cursor.
