I have to alert you tomorrow is Groundhog Day

If the groundhog sees his shadow tomorrow, it's 6 more weeks of winter.

If he doesn't, then it's early spring

However, the spring equinox (the offical start of Spring) for 2006 is March 20th, 2006 at 1:26 pm EST (18:26 GMT)

You can see more information here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Groundhog_day

Yes, there was, it's quite famous here. Called "Groundhog Day" with Bill Murray and Andie McDowell. He is constantly reliving groundhog day (being a journalist, that's why he's there) until he does everything right.

SHADOW: 6 MORE WEEKS OF WINTER
NO SHADOW: EARLY SPRING
NO DATA: UNAVALIABLE AT THIS TIME

Punxsutawney Phil's Prediction:
Date: 2006.02.02 Time (EST GMT-5): Sunrise

It is said that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery
Around the country there are many imitators of me.

In Harrisburg there is Gus who appears on TV
working for the lottery.

Then all around town
Cute groundhog statues abound
They all look like me, I found

Today on the Knob as I'm doing my job
I don't like this likeness of me

It's my shadow I see
Six more weeks of mild winter there will be

Well, I didn't see any groundhogs, but today seemed like spring. It was 40 degrees F, and the snow is melting...

Well...all I can say is that either way it went for my location it really doesnt matter. Where I live it feels like summer all year around, it's sort of like being in a Narnia-LOL, except its summer that you feel-NOT winter. really though, im telling the truth.

Sir Walter Wally (Raleigh, NC) saw his shadow, too. Yay! Now I wish we'd actually have some winter weather now. It feels like Spring here.

The groundhog thing is stupid in New York.. Winter lasts from late October til May... so obviously there will ALWAYS be 6 more weeks of winter

This winter though has been downright awesome! Hardly any snow, 40 degrees... its been like April-May for 2 and a half months :hehe:
