does anybody know any paint programs out there in which are real easy to use and u can make your OWN backgrounds for your website and make it look professional? thanx!

Paint Shop Pro, Adobe Photoshop are two of them. Most paint programs will make background and any other graphics.

i tried to download PSP8 from Jasc.com but when the download window finished i got a pop up saying that the file i attempted to download was corrupted, please obtain another copy of the program. why did it say that? do u know where i can download the free trial thats maybe a faster download and it wont say that?

try another one on the site. it has several 'mirrors' to donwload from, several locations. Mostly around 3 or something. Try another one.

so under "download location" on the download page choose another location and try again.

As far as backgrounds go, maybe it's just me, but I'm not a big fan of backgrounds on web sites. If you look at a lot of corporation's sites, they use a solid color, or just plain white...
