I've never actually seen one until today...is it some kind of image file you don't have to open with a programme? I can't find it on any of my painting programmes...hmm...

View Full Version : What exactly is an .art image??? Makar 06-30-2003, 12:14 AM I've never actually seen one until today...is it some kind of image file you don't have to open with a programme? Sometimes my stupid laptop saves any image in .ART format, they only program it opens it in is Internet Explorer. I have absolutely no idea why it's Internet Explorer but it is. Remember you can use them on a web page just place the tag like this: <img src="whatever.ART"> It works for me! :) Makar 06-30-2003, 01:51 AM Ah...I see. Thanks for clearing that up for me ;) elfenheroin 06-30-2003, 09:56 AM I don't get it :confusion Lissa 06-30-2003, 11:40 AM I believe it's an old AOL image format. When I made my first Web site, all the images had the .art extension. I could see the images, but unless someone had the AOL browser they couldn't see them. Not too many people use it anymore. Jasmine1234 07-01-2003, 04:50 AM oh...thanks lissa I always wondered about that because whenever I try to save images I save it in art and I didn't know what I was doing...ok i'll stop talking before i sound too dumb..lol |
