I've recently updated my website, and I'm looking to expand it soon but before I finish that I'm not linking the new pages to my site. I'm trying to get frames on my site, I've kinda half managed but I'm having some problems:
*The text I want to put in the left frame (ie links etc) require it to scroll, but I don't want a separate scroll bar for it so I disabled that, but now you can only see half the text, is there any way I can make the menu part scroll the same rate as the main page? (if that made any sense) Or do I need to use tables or something else instead?

*Targeting the links on my page doesn't seem to be working, it keeps opening them on a new window, I think I know the problem but I just wanna check, do you need to put the full url into the links (as I have) or do you just need to put something.html

I would really appreciate it if someone could help! thanku! :)

I think I know what you're talking about.

Okay, so you don't want a scroll bar, but you DO want to be able to see the text link, right? I think you might have to make the links a little smaller. Or you could try making your scroll bars cooler by using CSS.

As for making the frame scroll with the main scroller, you have to use tables. Do you mean like on Lissa's main site? (http://www.lissaexplains.com.intro.shtml)
If so, thats a table.

And finally, to make the links target into the left frame, you need to target and use the entire URL. Please see lissas frame section on the main site or search the forum. I know the code, but PLEASE before you post, search to see if someone else has already asked your question. I'm sure its annoying to everyone else(it sure is to me)

Good Luck,

for your first question you can't make it so that the left frame scrolls with everything else :( sorry you could use tables which i personaly recommend because frames take much longer to load than tables do:)
second for targeting the links if you want it to appear in the right side of your page just add target="right" to your link. this is how the finished thing would look:

<a href="yourpage.html" target="right">Click Here</a>

Thats it! Good luck!

p.s. i luv ur sn

Thanks guys, I managed to sort the targeting problem on my own but I'm going to just have to make a table for the rest of it... **toddles off to learn how**

Well its taken me about 5 hours, and it is now 10 past 3 in the morning, but my site is up and running, I just need the domain name to come through (which will be in about 18 hours time) so here it is: Sorry, no advertising please.
Hope you like!
