Personally, I don't think you really need it for kids. I learned HTML/Javascript with lots of *non kids* sites, and Lissa's Site helped me learn the *finess* or whatever of stuff. So... They're not totally nessacary. =)
i don't know of any good places. I just leaned it by looking @ other peoples javascript, figuring out what did what etc. I'm not a master, but hey! It works

You may just want to go with a book sometimes I like to get away from the comp and just read javascript(checking back at the forum every five mins =))

If the sites and tutorials you're finding are confusing, just looking at what others have done is a great way to begin learning. When you use a script, try to figure out what each piece of the code does (as much as you can anyway) by playing with what you imput. Anytime you run across something you can't figure out, put it on a list and see if it's in anything else you pick up.

It may take longer in the long run, but, in the meantime, you'll get atleast a beginner's grasp of the concepts, etc. and it will probably make the tutorials easier to understand.

Plus, you can always post your questions!!! :)

definitely the best way to go about learning a language is by looking at someone else's work, and just messing around with it.. then you get a really good handle on the concepts and how things work...

now, i have a tutorial on my site, and i was debating on whether i should post it or not... i did write it myself, there is no javascript tutorial on this site, and i am trying to help someone... i don't see why i couldn't, but honestly i'm not trying to blatantly advertise here, so moderators if this is against the rules, i apologize in advance :)

there's the link... i think it's a fairly good tutorial, that measures up to some of the better ones out there...

however, i always love to buy books to learn languages.. i don't have any javascript books, but i have a whole slough of other ones though :)
