It would be kinda cool if we can put pictures in our signatures, this is possible right???

its disabled.... it would seem cool at first but people would abuse it and it would take forever to load. everyone would have a million pics in their sig, and then itd be hard to read posts cause itd take to long to scroll... it would work w/ a smaller forum but i think this forum is to big for it to be practical to allow it.

yeah i mean for some forums its a cool feature to have... like my old forum, everyone had pics but that was te kind of forum it was, more mellow with less people, but on here it would probably get out of hand really quick...

ive never really understood bandwidth-- is that when you have an image hosted on your site and its being shown? i dont really understand it very much

I have a link to a pic in my sig, and Lissa or any other moderator hasn't changed my sig, and it's been there for maybe 3-4 weeks now. NOTE: Lissa or any other moderator please do not take the link out of my sig, thanks.

The reason why you can't have links in your sig is because they're affrad they'll lose members.
I've seen forums a lot more popular then this with images and links in the signatures.

well, not really its more of a thing where they dont want people to just come and advertise and only be here to advertise. i hate forums like that, no one ever stays cause everyoen just spams. like on my forum though it worked out cause i had a whole board for spam advertising :lol:

Well if Lissa did allow links in sigs I posted a post like "look at my site in my sig" then that would be spam.
But if I just posted like I am now then it shouldn't be a bother.

I also think they'll reluctant to allow links in sigs is because some people might post links to mature sites.
I think these people should be issued a warning via PM and if they don't follow up then remove signature (like mine was because I commented on how this forum is ran).

Why make it harder for the staff? It's great that images are disabled. We already have avatars, that's good enough.

The most popular Web site help forum on the internet allows absolutely no links to any site at all. Got a problem with your site? Too bad, no one's allowed to look at it to help you out. From what I can see, Lissa is just protecting other forum members from constant spamage. It would be a lot easier on her to just disallow ALL links so that moderators don't have to check every link to make sure it's not advertising. :D
