Hi, I am new to this site today but hopefully someone can help me!
I have a site with products on it, you click a link which shows more information about the product in a new pop up window. The pop up has a "close window" button at the bottom of it and I want to know how to make it work that when you click the "close window" text it does actually close the window and return you to the previous page which should still be open behind the pop up?

Any code or ideas would be very much appreciated!

well i searched the forum and found a code for a button that when you click it it closes the popup:

<FORM METHOD="get" ACTION="javascript:window.close()"><INPUT TITLE="submit" TYPE="submit" VALUE="Click Here"></FORM>

But if you really dont want a button then this may work..

<a href="javascript:window.close()">close this window</a>
