I'm amazed at the stories I hear from kids in middle school and high school. Even when I went to high school (a long time ago), I remember bomb threats and kids setting fires in trash cans

I was afraid to go to school for about 6 months when I was in year 6, I was getting bullied by this one person and the teachers only thought of it as friends falling out, and as I was so scard to go my mum took me of school, but then the police came round as I was not at school, and then the teachers took more notice of the bullying.

I have never felt afraid at school, nothing happens, at all, maybe a small fight. It's not a big school 500 people I think ;)

I wasn't afraid.

My school had fights that caused a code white. When I was at early years of high school, there was a would-be bomb threat (ended up a false alarm). Once in a religion class, the fire bells rang. I was scared that there's a fire in the building, ended up in a false alarm.

I have. My junior high school was pretty bad with drugs and racism, which lead to violence. The news called it a "gang" problem, but I didn't really consider them gangs. I remember one day there was a big group of kids (who didn't go to my school) waiting outside the school for a group of people to come out. Two or three of my friends were attacked, and a lot others. They weren't hurt too badly. I think they were only there to scare us. After that incident a lot of students went to the office and spoke up and tried to change what was going on. We had a bit of an emergency assembly at our school a few days after, explaining the changes that were going to be made. The neat thing was that the students were the ones speaking at the assembly, so everyone listened. It was pretty cool to see how much the school has improved since I've been there.

Unlike my junior high school, my high school was really good.

I wasn't afraid at school ever from kindergarten all the way through eleventh grade (private school, and then an exclusive public school), but when they built a new high school for my senior year, I was stuck in elective classes with girls who were pregnant  and kids who had gone to juvinile detention for assaults and such. Not cool. I'm glad I was only there for one year, and also that most of my classes were honors/AP :P

never actually bin scared in school, but outside my skool gangs hang around every year or so and wait for someone to come out (that they know not random people) and beat them up.
some boys from a different skool once beat up a girl in my science class. they surrounded her and kicked her and punched her and stuff.

when my bro wa sat skool it was really bad then coz there were stabbings and rapes and stuff like that. but since the new head arrived its getting a bit better!

I never really felt afraid at school, there would occasionally be fights and stuff but it was always be off school property and were usually planned :P There were people into drugs and stuff too, but again it was never really a problem at school. I also never associated with those people, so that helped to avoid it ;)

i dont think i have ever been affraid to go to school but i have been nervous a few times. i wasnt ever bullied at school but because i kept myself to myself sometimes the boys from my class would think it was funny to poke fun at me and my friends. school is horrible enough without being scared to go through the fear of being picked on!!

No, I don't think so, exept my first day at school, teacher kept yelling at us, I can remember it vividly, but it was a long time ago.

I've never been scared for my life at school, no, but in 7th grade there were some idiots on the bus that were mean to me and basically.. everyone. nothing a bit of sarcasm and wit couldnt handle, though :P

I've never been afraid at school 'cause the only kind of people who get attacked/beaten on are the ones who ask for it... I mean, it's usually a feud between two people, or two different groups of people. Mostly over drugs, or boyfriends, or along those lines. :P

We've never had any serious bomb threats though, or students pulling out guns or knives during class or anything. And no trash can fires that I know of... Sometimes people throw stuffed animals and live insects over the mez into the cafeteria (I once had a cockroach land in front of me during lunch - luckily they're one of my favourite animals but everyone else flipped out :P), but that's about all the damage done to innocent students.
