i am about to purchase my first domain name *yay* but i have a question....i cant believe ive never really found this out anyway....

do you have to host your domain name with the same web hosting company that you use?
or can they be from differnet providers?

You can by a domain from one site and a host from another.

So you do not have to host your domain with the same hosting company.

It can be more convienient to have them both from the same place. I guess it depends on which host you choose.

yeah...i had narrowed it down to two one was quite cheap but with the domain name it would have sky rocketed
