They have a really bad record, I remember I was watching a program; they had two engine failures...

I absolutely love flying =) It's one of my favorite things to do. Part of it is looking out my window to see all the lights at night, part of it is the independence and alone time because I usually fly alone, and part of it is the anticipation to be where I'm flying to =D Oooohhh and I think that the little plane snacks that they give you are so cute =D

...But that's too bad about the crash. Plane accidents are way way WAY rarer than car crashes, though, because planes are a lot easier to operate than cars. People still get uneasy about them though because of a lot of factors; one of the big reasons probably being that people aren't used to it and don't fly nearly as often as they drive! I got to fly a tiny plane once over Miami Beach :buckt: Well, copilot if you want to be technical about it  I didn't land or take off, but I got to do the stuff in between! :P

Whoops, sorry about that  I got a little excited.

I think the thing that makes most people more uneasy about airplanes than cars [despite the risk factor] is the fact that you're completely not in control. You rely on the capability of the pilot, the goodness of the passengers, the quality of the aircraft.. whereas with a car, although there are so many incapable drivers out there, at least you have a certain degree of control.

That's really scary.. why didn't they tell anyone?!?! Someone could've been killed! That's so dumb!!

They should be sued.
