New Year's Day is just a week away! It will soon be the year 2006! What are you going to do on New Year's Eve/Day?

If you have any new year resolutions (eg: lose weight, be nice, be helpful, quit smoking), post those revolutions here also?

Are you going to Times Square in New York or any other place to celebrate the new year?

My New Year's Resolutions are:

Be kind to self
Be nice to self and others
Attend to events more
and SPEND MORE TIME ON LEIA!!!! (just kidding!)

RP06 wishes LEIA and other people around the world a Happy New Year.

On New Year's Eve, I'll probably watch TV and see the fireworks. Might go outside, you can see lots of them around here. You know, bang pots and pans. :P

I'll either be staying home with my family, or going to a friend's house to get drun...erm - merry :stickout:

As for new year resolutions: don't be silly  I'm far too sensible to think I'll be able to keep them

On new years eve I'km doing what I did last year, at 6/7pm I'm going on my Xbox for a couple of hours and then the rest of the time on my computer.

Last year I spent from 4pm to 1am on the computer playing on Sims 2.

That's a bit antisocial, and - sorry for being rude - rather sad.

Wouldn't you be better off spending time with your family/friends?

But still, it's a time to celebrate, rather than sitting in front of a computer or games consol.

I added a poll on this thread. You can choose more than one option on the poll and view the results. If you chose "Other", please post what it is.

I don't know how old you are, but most teenagers (and kids) find new years rather boring. It's definitely more fun for the adults ;)

I think It's normal to play video games on New Years eve. Last year I did the same thing ! I played Animal Crossing on Gamecube.

New Years for me is not big of a deal. It's more of a time to reflect on the past year and dream big about the year ahead! And thats totally possible playing Games. :duh:

Oh, I'll be doing the same as last year; stay home, spend time with my family and watch the ball drop on TV.

As for resolutions, I'm not quite sure yet. Probably get my website up and running smoothly instead of letting it go to waste. ;)

going to a friends house, setting off tons of HUGE fireworks (I mean ones that you can get almost nowhere in the USA) big rocket thingies. (they are legal here, don't worry). Eating too much food, staying up till midnight, etc...

Ain't that the truth! I'm going to a bartender's ball. It's 50 bucks to get in but that's all you have to pay. Once you're in, all your drinks and food are free. They also lock you in so you can't leave until after midnight. 50 bucks might seem like a lot but one can spend that much or more at a bar easily, okay, well I could LOL! Drinks are expensive!

I don't find New Year's to be anything special either, so I probably won't be doing much except watching tv/computer type stuff. If I had better company I'd spend it with them but until then, I'll curl up alone :P

I could see the glasses (2 of the pictures), one of them looks like a cape, but the other two pictures are a bit too blurry to even use imagination and make something up :P

I have no clue what I'm doing...

My parents are going out for the first time in 27 years for new years eve with my aunt n uncle, my girlfriends parents are going out, my best friends parents are going out, and yeah. We have "talked" about "going bowling", but I don't even know. I just know I don't want to be home alone because that would be boring... lol. I have some fireworks leftover, so if it is just me and my friend then we'll do that, but it's doubtful, I'd like to spend the night with my girlfriend I'm just not sure what we're doing...
