Hey! Do you open your presents on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, or one on Christmas Eve and the rest on Christmas Day?

My sister and I get one on Christmas Eve. We always know what it is :lol: Every year we get a Christmas ornament and that's what we open on Christmas Eve! We open the rest on Christmas Day, in the morning :present:

Haha - hey that is a good question. It always changes for us. When we were little - it was of course Santa. So we would open up all of the wrapped presents on Christmas Eve and in the morning all the ones from "Santa" would just be layed out. Then it used to be we would open half on Christmas Eve and the other half in the morning on Christmas Day - but now I think we are just going to open all of them on Christmas :P

We've always done Christmas morning... me and my brother used to beg for one early but we gave up on that a couple of years ago. XD

Same as you, except we didn't know what the gift was. We just got to pick one out from under the tree :)

All of them on christmas, sometimes one on christmas eve :)

We usually visit my aunt and uncle over Christmas, so on Christmas Eve we do 'stocking stuffer' type gifts and open them. Then on Christmas Day we get the rest of our gifts plus our stockings from Santa :) I got a lump of coal one year [as a joke] for one of my Christmas Eve gifts :hehe:

When I was a kid, it was the same as you, Sarah. Except we also got a pair of new pajamas as well as an ornament...

Now that I'm all grown up and live on my own, I really don't care about opening presents. this year, my husband and I aren't even going to get anything from each other... Not enough money =/

When my husband was going to grad school and Lissa was little, we used every penny we had to buy gifts for her, which left us out ;)

That's why we don't have any money =P But it doesn't really bother me. I'm an adult and Christmas has lost that whole "OMG! What am I getting?!" aspect. I asked for one thing, and I'm getting it from my mom so I'm happy about that, and I'm happy that my little girl will be getting lots of nice things as well =)

We have a tradition of opening one gift on Christmas eve, and then the rest of them first thing on Christmas morning.

We open all of them on Christmas morning. I used to get up at 6, but now that I always have to get up that early, it's become "Whatever. Presents? I want sleep." And of course we have to eat breakfast first, which my parents insisted on doing as slowly as possible...

:lolol: Yeah, I would wake up at about 5am sometimes and would run to wake up my parents.. of course my dad would wake up and make me go back to sleep XD Like Sarah said, I always open an ornament the night before, and all my presents on Christmas Day, though I always attempt to beg a present out of my parents!

We would eat a huge meal. My family isn't from the US so our christmas dinner was a turkey and all that jazz that usually you eat at thanksgiving. My parents used to make us sing and when we sang the required number of songs, someone would ring on our doorbell or knock on the door and that was our clue that we had to go look for our presents. They would be hidden somewhere. In the washing machine, one year they were in the old place where they put coal. We'd find them and open them.

My husband is american and his family always opened up the gifts on christmas eve too. What we do with our daughter is go for a drive and look at the lights and when we come back, santa has been there. We give a lot of the presents from us and only 1 or 2 from santa.

Depends. I have a small family. And rarely see relatives. Sometimes I open my gifts on Christmas Eve, sometimes just one, or none. Psh, it gets confusing.

When I was little I used to open them with my cousins when they came over on Christmas day. Now I guess I open the ones I have before they come, then open the ones they gave with them :D

I do the same thing!! I want the surprises to last; while my sister's wrapping paper covers the floor, I am still opening my second present :lol:

^My brother does that - he actually brings his pocketknife with him on Christmas morning so he can cut each piece of tape. I'm all about ripping them open, but I try to do it slowly so they last longer :)

Since I got married, our Christmas day is wierd, too. We get up, open presents, then my dad and little brother come over and we do those gifts, then we (minus my dad and plus my little bro) go to my mom's house and do those gifts. Then all of us go to my grandma's where the rest of my family is.

We used to always open one on christmas eve, and the rest on Christmas day. Now we open them whenever... One year it was almost a week early, another year it was on boxing day.. I think we're opening presents tonight. We don't really do anything the traditional way since my brother and I hate Christmas, but my mom loves it (I don't know what my dad thinks of it lol)

On Christmas. I arready got 2 presents rearily,a pair of ear rings+a pin(not sure if that was ment to be a present though) and a new computer chair.

My sisters and I used to open gifts on Christmas Eve, but now, we just open them whenever. My friends do the same to -- they'll just tear their gifts open when they receive them in school! :)

Usually 12 am but now we will wait til the morning cuz then the lil ones will want to stay up and play with toys. :scared: Plus we are expecting some family in the morning.

You wake up at 2:00 am? :eek: I woke up at 6:45 yesterday, but 2 is just out of the question :lol:

We open them throughout Christmas day, so we open some up in the morning, then we have brunch, then we open some more in the afternoon.
