It's a program used to create graphics for Playstation or something. I downloaded a Shareware version and I really need help on mapping objects. I know the chances are one in a million, no, one in a BILLION that someone on this forum knows how to map objects with this program, nevermind even ever heard of it, but I thought I'd post a message anyway. All my objects are white and have no texture!!! :O

This would be so much easier if you were using 3DSMax...I know how to work it. -.-'

You can't. That stuff is so professional, they don't give it out for free. You could try to look at ebay or something to get a cheaper one from someone else.

but if you buy it brand new you would pay so much for it, that i don't think it's really worth it.

Makar, if you want Maya which is better than 3DSMax, buy Unreal Tournament. They had this one thing were you got Maya for non-commercial use free with it. xD

To use a material:
Click on the 'system' tab at the left. Click 'matpanel'. There, you can set up your material. Next click the 'edit' tab. Click 'selmat' there. Select your object (selobj in the edit panel). Now, go to 'selected' in the menu. Click 'set material to faces'. There. Done! =D

By the way, since this topic's about 3D modeling programs, does anyone know what was used to make Final Fantasy X?

Edit: Urm...Makar? Did you figure out how to render it and save as something I can edit in PSP/PS? Lol.

if u had to buy it like about how much would 3D Studio Max cost at the store?

3D STudio Max 2.5 costs about 2500$ brand new in stores. I know this cuz i use to mod for different games and i have it :D
