I use Windows XP and I've recently found a section in my Temporary Internet Files folder called Content.IE5 which is taking up quite a bit of space. The location of this section on my computer is:
C:\Documents and Settings\Jordan\Local Settings\Temporary Internet Files\Content.IE5
I've asked many of my friends if they had something like this on their computers and they all said no. I tried deleting it, but it doesn't work. Does anybody know what it is or what I should do?

I use XP too, and I also have that folder but I didn't have any trouble trying to delete it...
there are two ways you can clean it out though, one is by going under control pannel>>network and internet connections>>internet options and then look down where it says temporary internet files and press delete files
the other I found in the help and support center and you run the disk cleanup wizard and it trashes all the unused files on you hard disk (To start Disk Cleanup, click Start, click Run, and then type cleanmgr).
hope that helps...

Hm... whenever I try to delete the folders themselves, I get a pop-up window saying that the program is being used by another program and it can't be deleted. Any ideas on what I should do?

While trying to delete have you closed everything including MSN, programs that use internet connection or even a browser? because then the file is in use. When everything is closed try again :)
or sometimes you can do a re-boot, then go to do your delete right after loadup.
after going onto some programs, they may "think" they are using certain folders and "forget" when they are not.

it is possible that the file is always in use when you're using Windows, because IE and Windows Explorer are so intertwined (like how if you use Ctrl+Alt+Del to close IE if it freezes or something, it also messes up your desktop).

Oh! I found out what that's for...you know how you can click on an image with your mouse, and if you drag it up to the address bar, it brings you a page with just that picture? That's what that folder is used for...
I hope that makes sense...
I didn't know I had that folder until I put in the "Katie (last name)" part where you have "Jordan"...
