hi, i just want to know what exactly is blogging, is it like a terminology for an online diary or something or just simple free expression of oppinion?

It's really your own interpretation really. My understanding of the word blog is a weblog of something. Whether the posts contain dairy entries, or just updates about your band, etc, that is what a blog is to me. In a more specific definition, when I think of blog, I think of people's online diaries that other people comment on.
