I need to have a bunch of transparent images on my website but it always turns to a white background. I tried saving it as a gif, jpg, png, and pspimage but it doesn't make it transparent. Any ideas?
And yes I know I'm stupid.

When you save the image, click on the GIF Optimizer... then that will help make them transparent.

I'm using Paint Shop Pro 8 and there's only one .gif option to save it as, no gif optimizer.

Thanks though.

Change whatever area you want transparent to a bright green or some color that is not involved in your image, what-so ever. Save your image as a .BMP or .GIF

Search google for "Giffy Download" and download that program [it is very small and easy to use].

Install Giffy, and start it up. Click "load bmp" or "load gif" [depending upon what you saved it as, of course] and load your image. Check the box that says "transparent" and select the color you have in your image that you put in the area you want transparent. Then choose to save it as either a bmp or a gif.

That should do it. :D

What version of Giffy do I need because many sites say that the product isn't carried anymore so I could only find GiffyView version 1.0

2.3 is the version I have, but 1 might work, I'm not quite sure.
http://www.filesclub.com/download/giffy_91659.html has 2.3 up for download.
