Ok. Hello. My name is Nick. Nice to meet you, too.

Ok anyway so I think I have used just about every blogging solution there is I am just not satisfied with any of them. Myspace was fun for a while because of their large network but the downtime is seriously a bummer. So, I have come up with my own solution and I think it might just work great...

I decided to purchase a new website with Yahoo! (I know they suck dont make fun but I have used them for my hosting for about 6 years and it's pretty much all I am familiar with.)

Anyway so I designed a site that is similar to Rosie's layout at Rosie.com..with the FLICKR photostream to the left and a large photo in the center. I swear that's the only thing that's the same I didnt steal her layout. LoL.

But anyway have you ever heard of websitetoolbox.com? Well they offer a few great tools and one of their best if the messageboard. So what I did was purchase a messageboard for only like $5 monthly and turned in into a blog. Only I can start new threads but anyone can reply. So each thread will start with a blog post.

I liked websitetoolbox because it fits seamlessly into my site. Anyway..any comments or criticism(sp?) on my idea?

Hello Nick :)

Well first of all, does it work for you? Is it user friendly, for the future commenters? Does it look good?

The main thing is for you to be able to manage it well and for your commenters to be able to find where to comment. How about archiving?

Since you have purchased a website, do you have a mysql database and everything? Have you thought of using a blogging tool like Wordpress, Greymatter, CuteNews or even Blogger? They're all free and work pretty well I think. Except I couldn't get Wordpress installed in mine but *cough* that's probably just me. :P

Hope you get everything sorted! :)
