I know there's been a lot of posts regarding password protecting, and I've looked at quite a few of the suggestions (admittedly not understanding half of it). I tried the bravenet password gate and a few others, but even though they work on the main blogger page, I don't know how to get it to work with my archives (which can be accessed easily via search engines) since blogger does the archiving automatically for me and there isn't a file manager of some sort that I can use. I would guess you'd use FTP, right?
If so, you should google for scripts in PHP that password protect.
I would recommend Simple Login (http://new-place.org/scripts/), if you have .php pages. =)

nope, dont use ftp (have a vague idea about it). my blog is hosted directly in blogger, and because of that, i dont know how to access the archives to edit them and add in the password gate. thanks though

i think i found a good javascript, now just trying to edit it a little. thanks!
