As far as i understood, you had to have premium to use xanga layouts. but I know that without premium peoples till have layouts... i have a basic idea of html, and i searched the fourms befor i posted.

But here's the question. where do i insert my layout?

Your layout will most likely consist of a stylesheet. That should go in your Header.
