I have 467 that came with Windows. I use all of about 4.

I use most of them, I colected them over a period of time.

i have no idea how many i have, as many that come with windows xp, i really am too tired to look right now lol ;)

If you count the bold and italic versions of a font then probably... Windows doesn't really come with that many fonts...

How do you see how many fonts you have without counting the bold and italic versions? When I look in the Windows/Fonts folder it says I have 511 but I know I don't have that many...

Yeah, I'm wondering that too. I think you just have to make the folder not show the hidden font files (which are all the extras). Then there's custom fonts -- some come with outlined versions, etc.

i dont have many atall im always cautious about where to get them incase they come with spyware or viruses or something are there any cheap more reliable places you guys (and females ;)) could suggest?

Well, the most popular font site is probably DaFont.com. :)

Hmm... I tried that and it went from 511 to 463, but there were still like 10 different ones for Arial LOL!

goodness! what do you do with all of them? I have about 5 or so I use on a regular basis, and then maybe 10 I use for special purposes

drive:\WINDOWS\fonts and choose details
Then you select all fonts and choose properties
it will open as many property windows as you have fonts :scared:

I discovered that the hard way. heh.

then when I tried closing them, I just held the enter key... I didn't let go soon enough when they were done closing, so it opened all the previews because they were all selected...

yeah, that was a fun 10 minutes. :P

I was (still am except I don't have that much time) a font maniac. If this computer was faster I'd get me smore. Such fun. I mean, who can't like fonts!? *runs away from roar*

I have a lot because I do a lot of graphic design.

i have about THIRTY because we just had to "flush&fill" (crude slang for basically cleaning off the drives, whats the real word for it? like REBOOT or something? i have no idea) and so now all i have is like. TIMES NEW ROMAN, VERDANA, ARIAL, etc. meh.

We have 441, but that's including the different files for each font or whatever
