Does any one know how or where I can get any information on user names and/or passwords for a site?

I either want the users to enter a user name and password before entering the site, or when they click on certain links a password will be asked.

I've done this before, but I can't find any coding now!

Thanks in advance.

Alright, this way I'll post is really shaky and easy to get through...but it serves the purpose for the most part.

http://www.lissaexplains.com/java5.shtml#prompts (scroll down a little from where the page loads and it's right there)

That has to go somewhere between your <head> and </head> tags.

If you can use .htaccess on your server there's a much much more secure way of doing it, so let me know if you do and I'll give you that code :).

Thanks so much!

I can use .htaccess

if that's not too much to go through! I'm a fast learner so you don't need to go into it too much~

thank you :D
