I have a couple of questions...

1) How many pages does Yahoo! Web Search search?

2) I just need some info about Yahoo! Messenger. (Is it for dial-up only, similar and differences to Google Talk, etc.)

3) Do you prefer Google or Yahoo!

Thanks!

I voted Google for the search engine... For everything else, Yahoo! is better in my opinion. But since I only use Yahoo! mail, that's why I picked Google.

I know there are lots of google nuts on this forum, I've never even used google, I use the msn which comes with my subscription mostly

I agree, the yahoo search engine was never very good

but I only know about yahoo because I've had my email for like...7 years?

I'm a square I don't experiment much

I really like the messenger, and I have dailup accelerated....which is still 56k but means the pics are fuzzy...its works WAY more often then msn messenger, and you can be invisable...

oh and the new voice thingy is cool too

I'm rather pro google. I think it's very professional, down to earth and user-friendly at the same time.

their email service is also awesome.

Yahoo Messenger is actually quite neat. It is, same for all messengers, able to run on any net connection.

I'm so stupid, I accidently clicked Yahoo. But yea, google is awesome! And I have a question how can someone not know about Google or Yahoo? Google and Yahoo are like taking over the world.

I didn't know that Yahoo! changed it to 1GB of space... I've been using them for almost 2 years but it doesn't really matter to me since I don't keep old e-mails...

Yah... I only use my gmail account, but not really, but yah, I do, oh well, I access it through Thunderbird, so I DO use it... Never mind... That makes:

4 Mugglenet
2 Gmail
2 LEIAM
1 Yahoo!
2 Hotmail
10 POP sever/host accounts

So actually 21, but never mind the POP e-mail address's. Wow.

So actually 11 e-mail address's.

What's the point? I have 2 e-mail accounts... One that I use for when I sign up for crap that's going to surely send me spam, and one that's my main address.

I get what you mean, like i prefer google the search engine, and for homework purposes i'll choose google, but for games and horoscopes and stuff like that i go to yahoo..
I chose google mainly because its my homepage, and my yahoo is only a bookmark

I'm for both. I use Google for searching, but practically Yahoo! for everything else.

- News.
- Mail.
- Stock market/finance.
- GeoCities.
- Photo gallery.

Isn't there's an option for both Yahoo! and Google?

I use Google and Yahoo!

That makes it a tie for me

So... Checking the finacial stocks as of last close (2005.11.11 Fri)..

Yahoo (YHOO) 38.49 down 0.20 (-0.52%)
Google (GOOG) 390.40 down 0.70 (-0.18%)

So, I'll choose the one with the higher share price, and that is Google (about $390 per share)

So, I'll choose Google.
