My host died and lost all of my data...wonderful I know. Now I have nothing and I have to put up my entire blog again. But luckily before it happened I was using this (http://www.skippy.net/blog/category/wordpress/plugins/wp-db-backup/). So I have the sql file...but I'm not sure how to use it!

Can someone help me with this?

I'm not sure what exactly I'm supposed to do. I know at some point I should upload the sql using phpmyadmin. I get that part. But when am I supposed to do this and what else am I supposed to do? Upload my wordpress files again? Install wordpress again? Or...what?

Help is greatly appreciated and I thank you in advance!

You will definitely have to install wordpress again since you only have the database file... You can go here (http://www.tamba2.org.uk/wordpress/) to see how to restore a database. You could also go to the support forums at http://wordpress.org/support/ and get some help...

Okay. But is that it? Install wordpress again and then upload the sql file?

By the way, that website IS the site I used to try and restore my blog...lol. That's how I know how to restore the database, but it wasn't specific in doing anything else. All I get is a blank page when I try to go to my blog.

I decided to post here because I might actually get replies. I've posted in the support forums before...and I never get replies.

When you made the new database for wordpress, did you make sure to use the same info that's in your wp-config file? And after uploading all the WP files to your server, did you visit this (http://www.tamba2.org.uk/wordpress/restore/) page to restore your database?

Yes I made sure.

Does it matter if I restored the database first? If it does...that would be the problem. lol. o_o [edit] But now that I think of it, when it didn't work after I uploaded my files, I deleted the database and then uploaded it again =\
