Ok so what blog programs do you use? What do you prefer and why?

I've tried a lot, but I like xanga the best. Theres a lot of things you can do to customize it.

I'm sorry I mean like woodpress, blogger, those types.

i use blogger.com
i like the way it uses ftp to transfer over to your page etc ... works for me :)

i use it because i'm not always sure if i'm able to use php, since i have often switched hosts.. and blogger.com is always useable since it just uses html! so i'm never stuck if i had to host it on my own space.

i think it depends on what you are used too. Some people can install any script without problems or prefer PHP scripts over normal html.

I have tried to install greymatter, but i myself thought it was so confusing with all the layout fields etc .. i just like the way that blogger.com is set up with one big layout field where you make your template.

ok blogger can you not make your own layouts? I have a layout, all I want is something simple so I can make entries, and it wont be a pain, plus I like having comments. I was thinking of making the div that is currently holding my "blog" hold an Iframe which would be the blogger page. This would require the blogger page to be solid black with white serif font. Is this do able?

I actually have my blog integrated into my phpbb board so that they only need 1 login.

i dont really like using blogs that much but if i had to choose, wordpress or nucleus, i like the way they are setup

I love wordpress! It'd be perfect if I could learn how to restore it :P But otherwise I think it's awesome because you can make more than one layout (themes) and there are plugins you can download and use on your blog (like a crossposter for xanga and myspace, no duplicate comments, comment plugger, rate-my-stuff, just about anything you can think of) :)

I currently am using greymatter on my blog website. I think it might be harder to use and less customizable, but it works with the fact that I love coding my own website.

I'm using Greymatter at the moment, and finding it difficult to skin it with my site -_-'. Theres not much features, I'm thinking of changing. Hmm, does anyone know whether there will be problems installing something like Wordpress whilst Greymatter is still on? I don't want to lose my entries =(. Hmm, maybe I'm stuck with Greymatter~

i use b2 and prefer it because it's really easy to customize and i don't need a complicated blogging system

I don't think it would be a good idea to install wordpress with greymatter at the same time. The programs might mess up. But maybe you should do some research? Because I'm almost positive that if you did infact install wordpress over greymatter that you would have to start over with blogging.

I use cutenews but if I got mySQL i'd use wordpress.
