DST will be over at 2:00am DST, then it would go back to 1 hour to 1:00 am SDT

Your computer clock should adjust for DST. To check, double-click on the clock on the bottom-right on the screen or right-click the clock then select Adjust Date/Time

OR

go to Start > Control panel (or Settings > Control Panel)

For Windows 95/98/2000/ME and XP under classic view, double-click on "Date and Time"
For Windows XP using category view, click on "Date, Time, Language, and regional options" and click either "Change the date and time" or the date and time icon

Once in Date and Time Properties, click on the "Time Zone tab". Make sure you're in the correct timezone. Make sure the box is checked for DST. Some countries or regions doesn't adjust for DST.

actually it's the other way- if you get up at 6, it will be as light out and everything as it would be at 7

That's...nice. Not that it matters because it'll still be dark when I get to school. (I live 3 minutes away, depending on traffic.)

DST totally confuses me. I don't know when the mainland U.S. goes into/comes out of DST because Hawaii doesn't... and yeah. >_<

I don't think America does it tonight, do they? I thought you guys were usually a week after the UK/Europe!

Yeah we do it tonight! It's only different in the spring, which I definitely don't understand.

My mum emailed me to remind me about it  But my alarm clock is smart and can automatically adjust for DST so I didn't have to worry about it. I could really use an extra hour of sleep this weekend too, and my boyfriend was all excited when I told him because he gets an extra of of recovery time after partying tonight (although he probably won't remember :P)

Ah well....at least you wouldn't have been late for anything. Did you realise immediately when you woke up, or did you realise later on? :)

I saw a few days ago that people dont like DST because it causes so many car accidents a year because its darker when kids are walking home from school.

EDIT: as for my magic extra hour i spent it on homework unfortunatly =(
