I HAVE SOME TROGAN VIRUS AND I CANT DO ANYHITNG
ITS MAKING ME CRAZZZY! U DONT KNWO HOW HARD I HAD TO WORK TO GET TO THE INTERNET. AND I HAVE NOTRTON ANTI- VIRUS AND WHEN IT DETECTED A VIRUS IT DESITED TO SHUT DONW! GRR :mad:

When your computers loading up tap f8 untill you get boot up options and then chose safe mode, from ther log in as normal and run the anti virus or delete the trojan.

are u sure that that wount delelit my files?

my computer is called compaq i dont knwo if that makes a differance

by pressing F8, windows boots up in basic configuration when SAFE MODE is choosen. This means that any virus that wants to boot up when the computer starts up is not gonna work. It doesn't matter what make, so long as it has Windows 95+ on it. Anyway, Norton is really crap, so it is recommended you get something like AVG.

Start with being more clear:

What operating system do you use?
What exactly happens when you boot up? does it says that it will automaticly shutdown within 2 minutes?

We can't help you if you don't give enough information. Also try not to use your caps lock so much.

when i boot up i cant use any thing, not the start button, not even the icons on my screen only task manager. it dosent say that it will automaticly shutdown within 2 minutes but it frezzes soem times and wount move mo mater what i do thats y geting on the internet and usuing this forum is so hard. norton dose nothign aboutmy infections all it sais after i run a scan is that i have like 7 vuruses all trogen or wut ever its called, im not sure, and when i try to delit it, it sais it couldnt be done and sais im still infected
i started my computer of safemode (though there are many option with safe mode i used the top one and it still wount let me accses my start or desk top icons
i REALLY dont want to loose my file they are very inportant to me
i need to know how to delit the viruses so that i atleast will be able to write my files onto a cd but i dont even know how to do that :(

Try a progam called 'the cleaner' if you can manage to downlaod it.

Can you make a screenshot of your taskmanager on the processes tab? or a picture.
or try to run http://www.merijn.org/files/hijackthis.zip and copy the log here

to access the net and how to get to My Computer:
Go into task manager and click file > new task (run) > then type iexplorer.exe and IE should run.

Then close everything apart from nortan and your firewall on the system tray. that should speed up things a little.

then look in the processes tab. check that all programs you don't need running are closed.

to check what operating system you have, in internet explorer type $:/ to go to 'My Computer'. then right click in my computer and select properties. this should tell you everything we need to know.

i cant take a screen shot it cust cuts of half of the screen when i put it on paint or w/e and i ran the cleaner and it just scames it dosent remove any thing though it told me the location of my virus

and i went to task manager and browsed for this file in new task(run) to dele t it but i couldnt even find it

i tryed every thing u guys have told me hopefuly i did it right
the only way i even got on the web is through new task in task manager

try downlalding a program called wintask and add
C:\windows\system32\ide21201.vxd to the block list?
also when clicking file and run in taskmanger, type msconfig and look for something like ide21201 or anything funny in the startup tab then untick it.

umm... try pasting a screenshot into summing like paint shop pro.
if that doesn't work then try pasting it into dreamweaver or frontpage... it may or may not work... we can hope

call a pc technichtion or bring it to you local pc shop

This MIGHT work, I did it on my 2000 computer when I had a virus.

If you have a second computer, try and network them together. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE make sure you have a firewall, or something to block the virus as to not infect the other computer. You might be able to remotely access the files on the other computer and even remotely run a scan and delete it. This may not work, however, because I caught the virus in its early stages, and it hadn't "unleashed" itself fully yet. If you can't do this, do take it in to a shop.

The way you describe it, I'd say have someone look at it.

If you have another hard drive (even rent or buy a small hard drive) install Windows on that, change the BIOS to boot from that drive, and scan the drive from there.

chances are this person dosent no what your on about =)
i'd still recomend getting a porfesanal on the job,
