I have a question about blogs, I've tried AOL Journals, because they are my ISP, and I've tried Bravenet. Neither of them are that great when it comes to ease of custimizing. I like to add backgrounds and graphics to most of my entries, but I'm not that good at HTML, so I'm just wondering if someone could point me in the direction of some good blogs that are easy to customize and add backgrounds and graphics to. Thanks!

Xanga (http://xanga.com) has an extremely easy-to-use customisation edit page.

Blogger (http://blogger.com) is more "complex", but is probably the most customisable out of all blogging services.

LiveJournal (http://livejournal.com) doesn't allow for embedded objects or JavaScript, but it's also easy to customise with CSS.

if you got your own website wich supports FTP you can also use blogger.com to FTP the blog on your own site :)

wich is, i think, a very cool function of blogger.com

Thanks Mirna, I don't have my own site, but that is a good idea and something I would be interested in. :)

my favorite is a newer one called Blog.Eksmith (http://www.blog.eksmith.com). It is ad-free and completely customizable. Allows you to have as many pages as you would like. Free RSS Feeds and a bunch more. If you are looking for a good system, i would highly reccoment it.

I reccomend diaryland.com. You can customize every page and you even get an archive. There are no ads whatsoever, unless you count the link back to diaryland anywhere you choose on your layout. :)

I prefer making my own layout and things, and have CuteNews as my newsposter

Um, it seems like just a personal blog to me, not a blog service.

it was a blog service. he closed it so its gone. I liked it because of its customizablilty, but that doesnt matter now.
