I write music.
I recorded some of my pieces and i want to post them in a web site.
the main goal is to permit viewers to download my music to their pc or mp3.
I know basic html .
One of my friends upload one of my works (.mp3) and link to it.
When you click on the music piece you can hear it on the net but to download it we need to right click and then "save as".
Well we would like to be able to click and have the download screen.
Can you help us??
1. put the music file into a ZIP file.
2. upload and link to the zip file.
if you do a forum search or google search, you should find plenty of free zip programs if you dont have one already.
a zip file is kinda like a special folder. you can put one or many normal files into it.

Hi
thank you very much for your help.
I tried to follow your advice.
The zipped file was .mp3 but the unzipped file came .wav
Is any way to do that zip and unzip with .mp3 only
the zip program keeps things the same as they are.
if it was a different computer, perhaps a different loaded program changed the file type?
zip does not change file types.

Is there any program or language that can help me to make the downloads faster of more advanced???
I purchase a hosting carrier that carries PHP AND MY SQL.
Also I notice many free music site like
http://freeplaymusic.com use different timing for the same music piece for their music
check the link http://freeplaymusic.com/search/category_search.php?t=v&i=1
How can they do that i.e having different timing???for the same piece??
those look like different clip lengths, not different download times.
the one main time downloads good for me.
the extra ones do not for some reason.
oh well, probably my computer being weird again...
