I just got my new Dell (Huzzah!) working, but I was wondering-how would I transfer my enormous files onto this computer? What I mean is, on the other computer, I have a file titled "Katie's Folder", and I want to transfer that (WITH all the documents in it, of course) to this new computer? Mum said to use CDs, but I don't think that CDs will be big enough...

What do you propose I do?

Zip it, upload it(it cant be bigger then 100mb - if it is, make multiple zip files), and download from from your webspace. :) Easy as pi!

CDs would probably be the easiest way to do it, they don't take all that long to make and they're cheap if you need a lot of them.

You could also transfer the files from the other computer through a network set up for both of them, but I don't really know much about it so I wouldn't be able to tell you much about that. All I know is that's how we share files between our two computers :P

how about combine both freakEgurl's and kittycat's idea and zip up the files then burn them to a cd :).

if you have a network that would be the easiest and quickest.
