Apple has finally released a product that I want to purchase. This is basically the iPod mini-revamped-and-converted-to-flash-technology, I believe. The iPod mini is no longer available on the U.S. Apple Web site, so yeah, this would explain it.

I like it, but even the 4GB is too small. I prefer the 6GB iPod Mini, but I guess I'll have to buy the 20GB now...

Apparently, you can still purchase the iPod mini via the educational store until Sept. 24.

OH MY GOD. I would have brought the iPod mini next month... when I saw Nano in the news today I nearly cried because I was SOOOOOOO thankful I haven't brought the mini! I want the Nano!!! I'm soooo buying this lovely thing. Even with the mini I wondered for a long time if I should get iPod or Creative products. (Creative is Singapore's and I'm so proud of it and all that)... but I'm sorry, Nano totally wins the war for now.. with me :D

Something interesting -

Ivan points out that Creative also has their own Nano. The Zen Nano Plus. Take that, Apple! Our Nano came first and our Nano got Plus leh!

LOL.

Can't wait till August!!!!

Gosh and heres me just thinking about spending £20 on a 128mb mp3 player, i'm a bit behind the times when it comes to these things huh?

I don't like the nano, i'd feel so ripped off spending that much money on something so tiny

I really hope I can win an iPod mini now :D

The Creative one only has the option of 512MB or 1GB.

I was going to suggest that you could still get iPod mini's on eBay... but they will probably be called "rare" and therefore more expensive.

If I got enough money, I'll get the iPod Nano!

In Canada, the 2GB/500-song one costs $249.00 CDN, and the 4GB/1000-song one costs $299.00 CDN.

In the UK, it costs for the 2GB/500-song one £139.00 GBP (£118.30 GBP ex VAT), and the 4GB/1000-song one costs £179.00 GBP (£152.34 GBP ex VAT). In most of Europe it costs €209.00 EUR (€172.73 EUR ex VAT) for the 2GB/500-song one, and it costs €259.00 EUR (€214.05 EUR ex VAT) for the 4GB/1000-song one. In Japan, the 2GB/500-song one costs ¥21,800 JPY, and the 4GB/1000-song one costs ¥27,800 JPY

 You do that with a calculater?

I would worry it would snap in half! Seeing as I don't even have an I-Pod, I don't see myself with this credit card.

I have an iPod mini, and I'm happy with it :) I think with the nano, I'd be afraid I'd break it, lol...or lose it, even worse

I don't like to make "on-spot purchases" when it comes to gadgets... hopefully, Apple will release the new model with larger capacity sizes in the future or at least drop the price just a wee bit. Even though I already have a sweet-lookin' m:robe 100, I want my hands on an iPod nano. ;)

For my replacement MP3 player (for some reason, mine no longer communicates with my schizo computer, and it's only 128MB -_-), I've already settled on some kind of iPod. I like the way the Nano looks, but it seems kind of insubstantial. Not to mention I'd probably lose it the way my mum looses her cell phone (because it's so tiny.)

There are a lot of Harry Potter crazies out there!

Heh, I guess Apple just struck some sort of deal with Warner Bros.

It'd probably be much cheaper (and highly illegal) to buy a regular iPod, have it engraved as you would like, then go to the library...

Not, of course, that I'm advocating such a thing...*cough*

But do they really think that will sell?? Most of the people that like Harry Potter are kids, so their parents would have to buy it for them... And I hope any parent in their right mind wouldn't pay extra for an iPod that has a Harry Potter engraving on it...

I think it's the same price as the regular ipod. But still.

Oh really? I knew that the "special" U2 edition iPod was more expensive than the "regular" edition iPod... so I assumed it would be the same with the Harry Pooter one.

The iPod is the same price (same size, and Apple doesn't charge for engraving) , but since it comes with 6 audiobooks, it costs another $250 more.
