I am going to make my own background for my page, and I was wondering what size would fit the window exactly.

800x600 and 1024x768 Are usually the standard screen resolutions now a days so if you're using 800x600 I suggest you make a background of that size but on the otherhand if you're using the other screen resolution then make a background of that size right now I got 1024x768 but it's all up to you really

Or you could just go with a background pattern. Might seem boring, but at least anyone, regardless of resolution size, can see it properly.

I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW THE EXACT SIZE TOO.I MADE A BEATIFUL BACKGROUND FOR IT.IS A COLLAGE OF PICS.SO WHEN I UPLOAD IT ON 800X600 ITS SMALLER AND 1024X768 IS TOO BIG AND IT REALLY LOOKS UGLY FIXED TITLED ETC

Everyone uses different resolutions. This isn't 1999 anymore where everyone pretty much used the same size.

Therefore, there is no exact resolution. If you're adamant on an exact size, then choose your own screen resolution.
