This is so silly it's driving me crazy, but I've always wondered how people create perfectly lovely nice smoooth lines like in farandaway.org/log (her drawings), basically anti-aliased 1px lines..also for vectors. I began a vector, then I realised if I kept clicking smooth or feather it'd make my picture fatter. I guess I should learn to use the pen tool. ergh I need to familiarise myself with graphic programmes! *procrastinatinghhh*

Thanks :)

Well her graphics are made in Adobe Illustrator and it will smooth out the edges. All you basically use is the pen tool, and everything is derived off that. It's a really fun program ^_^

Thank you :)
I need to reinstall it, but when I had Photoshop for a while, using the pentool was like fixing a shape or something, how does it get to be a line? Does it work the same in PSP?

Sorry some of the questions could be irrelevant, I really should try it out before asking, tomorrow morning I will. :P

The pen tool in Photoshop is the one tool that I still don't know how to use. :P
Meh, I'd rather use the draw tool in good ol' PSP...

Hmm well to get the smooth lines are either made by good mouse skills with the pen tool or a drawing tablet. I believe that lindsey (farandaway) uses a tablet. Generally the pen tool in Illustrator opposed to the one in Photoshop is farrrrr more flexible.

I set my brush to do the work of smoothness via opacity and hardness in any graphics program I use it in.
