this question is a toss between a graphics question and a general computer question.

can downloaded brushes potentially carry viruses? for all of you who download brushes, how much do you have to think about it before downloading? aren't you scared that it might ruin your computer? how do you tell if it's safe?


Actually, this goes not only for brushes, but other goodies too...
Personally, I'm really really cautious about downloading, and I have two computers...one that I download stuff onto and one that I dont (just to keep one clear at all times.)

you can scan the zip with your virus scanner before unzipping it.

I have downloaded a bunch of mask, brushes, plugins, etc..with no problems although potentially they could carry viruses but i haven't had problems.
