I don't really understand the part in the manual about creating the archives directory, if anyone can help?

All you do is make a subdirectory in your webspace called archives and chmod it to 777 I believe (I might be wrong :P ).

well wherever you decided to put the actual blog (for me this was in a directory called "blog") you will need to make a new directory(folder) for the archives. I would call this archives. Now chmod it to 777, if you need more help just PM me :)

Thank you... I created a sub directory called archives in the main bit where the log page is... is that right?

I'm still getting a 500 error! I think I need to check everything again!

make sure your paths are configured properly .. and maake sure it;s not it your cgi-bin - I think it gives you a 500 error when it's in the cgi-bin.

Sorry for double posting!!

h the archives folder isn't in the cgi-bin! I guess I must have gone wrong somewhere else?

make sure that you CHMODDED properly, run diagonstics and repair.

If that doesnt work, post your 6 paths here. Maybe something is wrong with those ..

I checked all the CHMOD of files in the CGI folder, they are all correct. The home.html where the log will be is set to it's correct CHMOD. So i hope that is all okay.

I wasn't sure about this instruction:

10. CHMOD your entries/archives directory to 777.

Does that mean I turn the folder I called Archives to CHMOD 777? Id so i've done that.

What paths should I paste? Sorry I'm not clued up on this at all hehe
