Hi all,

i searched the forum and found a similar thread to mine but it doesn't give any solutions at all (since i commented on that one myself lol) here it is:

the only difference with my problem is that i do have to click the link to download the .zip file but it doesn't ask me where to save it, it just goes downloading it and save it in a TMP folder. After finishing it opens automatically in winzip. I just want to choose where to save it and then i want to be able to push the buttons "open" or "cancel" to choose whether i want to open it now in winzip or later. Does anyone know how i can change it? i looked at the 'config' part in winzip itself, but that doesn't help me either.

i have never had this before, it started a while ago but since i hardly never had trouble with it i just let it go. But now i have a file where i want the .zip file from too so it's kinda bugging me. Before this problem got there i just was able to choose where to save etc.

I have no clue, did you change versions of windows?? I would try reinstalling Winzip or maybe use a different data compression utility.

Yeah i did changed windows, but from 98 to 98, but there was some difference in the whole windows thing althought it's the same version. Weird to explain...

EDIT: oh stupid me, i found a small way to get 'around' it by just click right click on the link, then do "save file as" and then i am able to choose the location etc. LoL sorry ! but still will look into it all, because it's weird....
