Okay, so I have this cool idea for a layout, and I got really good help before .. so I need it again, LoL!
I did a computer drawing for this, but I don't have any space toput it up, so I am going to explain this as best I can.
The first cell in the table is the main picture (width=819, height=400). It spreads across most of the screen (the site will be best viewed in 1024x764, that's why it's so large). I am fine with this part.
The challenging part is the 3 cells below it. They are all vertical, two of which are rather narrow.
Cell 2 is going to be used for navigation. It is just a red JPEG image for the background of the cell (width=200, height=800), and will have links in it (no need to worry about the links, I used CSS for the site as well). It needs to align with the bottom of Cell 1 and against the left side of the screen.
Cell 3 is the "weblog" area. It will be white and will have an intro and also my weblog/updates or whatever (width=469, height=800). It needs to align with the bottom of Cell 1 and the right side of Cell 2. It will also align with the left side of Cell 4.
Cell 4 is going to be the little area for links to other pages in the form of those li'l web buttons. Like Cell 2, it is just a red JPEG image (width=150, height=800). It needs to align with the bottom of Cell 1 and also be flush with the end so there's no extending over it.
I know it sounds liek I just want someone to whip up a code, but I have been trying since the last time I posted (a couple of months ago) to figure this all out .. HTML sites didn't work and I feel like I'm runing into a brick wall. I thought tables woul dbe best for it, but if there's another method out there that may be easier I am more then willing to try it! Any help, even just a point in the right direction, would be helpful.
Also, if you would liek to see the image I drew in Photoshop, let me know and I can email it to you. :)
